Noel Gallagher of Oasis fame used to have really bad teeth in the mid 90′s.  After years of drug abuse, Gallagher is said to have taken every drug available, Noel’s teeth had taken a battering.  The Oasis star’s bad teeth were said to be in such a bad condition that they had begun to fall out.

After Noel’s teeth began to seriously deteriorate he decided that it was time to stop the drugs and has been clean ever since.  He has since tidied up his teeth.  Although they are still not perfect they are much improved.  I suspect there has possibly been some teeth whitening and possibly even some surgery to correct his smile.  It looks like Noel Gallagher’s bad teeth are a thing of the past.

Back when Cheryl Cole was called Cheryl Tweedy and she only had a few hit singles under her belt she looked very different to the Girl’s Aloud and X-Factor star we know today.  Cheryl Cole’s teeth at the time along with her weight were two things that stand out.  Cheryl Cole teeth are slightly crooked in places and she has a bit of a vampire teeth thing going on.  It is clear that she has either had them straightened with a few dabs of teeth whitener for good measure or the more likely scenario; Cheryl Cole’s teeth now have porcalin veneers attached to them.

Mel C may have more recently been in the news with the birth of her new baby daughter but she has previously come under fire for her teeth.  However if you compare the state of Mel C’s teeth back in the Spice Girls days with more recent photographs it is clear that she has had some form of cosmetic dental surgery to fix her bad teeth.

Way back in 2002 rock legend and reality TV mega star Ozzy Osbourne was voted the British Celebrity with the Worst Teeth.  Thr Prince of Darkness, as Ozzy is known, has had a well documented history of alcohol and drug abuse and years of this may  of taken their toll on Ozzy’s teeth.  However if you try and search for photos of Ozzy with bad teeth you’ll find them hard to find.  While it is obvious that in recent years Ozzy has had some dental repair work and some teeth whitening looking at past photos it would appear that his teeth have always been in relatively good condition.   If this is true then how come he was voted the Briton with the worst teeth in 2002?  …well I guess things like this don’t help.

Now don’t get me wrong, Morgan Freeman is an amazing actor that has starred in some of my favourite movies from Shawshank to Seven and even Wanted.  However I was sat watching Wanted the other day and noticed the state of the mans teeth.  Morgan Freeman’s teeth are badly stained and unaligned giving him a unique look.  You’d think the man would be able to afford some Crest White Strips every now and then.

Tom Cruise has one of the most famous smiles in Hollywood but look closer and you will see Tom Cruise has bad teeth. Now it is not that his teeth are stained, he does have the classic celebrity teeth whitening twice a week look. If you look closely you can see that Tom Cruise’s jaw is crooked. This in turn has made the Top Gun and Last Samurai star’s teeth appear crooked from certain angles.

When Tom was a child his teeth were in a terrible state and you can really see how out of alignment his jaw is.  It looks as though Tom Cruise has possibly has some dental work in his lifetime as his teeth look in fairly good condition.  Although these could possibly be the result of another Hollywood dental treatment, the question maybe; Does Tom Cruise have veeners?  Anyway despite all this speculation it is clear that his jaw is still crooked although sometimes you have to take a closer look to notice it.

Amy Winehouse has pretty bad teeth but this hasn’t always been the case.  When she released her first album Frank, she had a curvier figure and looked a lot healthier.  Her teeth weren’t perfect but when you compare Amy Winehouse’s teeth before and after years of abuse you can see the effect of her lifestyle on her teeth.

Kirsten Dunst the star of the Spiderman movies and the new Simon Pegg film; How to Lose Friends & Alienate People has caused a stir this month.  The actress has appeared on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar with what looks like newly straightend teeth.  Kirsten’s teeth have been commented on many a
time in both the press and the internet, (See Worst Hollywood Celebrity Smiles) but she has always stated that she likes her teeth as they add character to her face and don’t lump her in with the rest of the Hollywood celebrity teeth club.  It would seem she has had a change of heart.

Kirsten was well known for her front fangs which stuck out because her two front teeth were crooked and pushed back behind her canine teeth.  Her teeth also made her popular among her fans as she was viewed as more of an indie chick, who hadn’t given in too the teeth whitening trends of modern day celebs.

Stand up comic and TV star Alan Carr has a pair of gnashers that are the epitome of British Teeth.  Alan is the star of the Channel 4 shows The Sunday Night Project and Celebrity Ding Dong and his teeth have helped him rise to fame in the UK.  Alan started out as a stand up comedian and he came to notoriety thanks to his camp act and his recognisable glasses and teeth combination.  Despite his yellow teeth, uneven gaps and overbite he has one a number of awards for his stand up and even released a DVD called the Tooth Fairy last year.

Hollywood is the home of glitz and glamour in Los Angeles and most Hollywood stars are obsessed with their looks. Now a days even the D-list celebs are put under scrutiny by the latest fashion and gossip mags and TV shows.  This has lead to a large proportion of Hollywood A Lister’s to invest in their looks but despite this some stars still have their little imperfections and with these it’s there teeth.

Case 1: Kirsten Dunst

Kirsten Dunst is one of the hottest stars in LA with fine performances in the Spiderman blockbusters.  Despite this Kirsten’s teeth always stick in your mind.  Her too front teeth bend back into her mouth while her two canine teeth stick out to give a vampire effect.  Her teeth are also fairly short which give her a gummy smile.

Case 2: Tom Cruise

Tom Cruise is another interesting case.  Loved by women worldwide, Tom has dated and married some of the most beautiful actresses in Hollywood despite his religious views.  If you look at Tom’s teeth you can see they are straight but his jaw seems to be pushed over to the left.

Case 3: Steve Buscemi

Steve Buscemi is a respected actor with memorable roles in films like Reservoir Dogs and Desperado as well as a spot on the Sopranos. Part of the reason for Steve’s success could be down to his interesting look.  His teeth stick out and are heavily stained and in real need of some teeth whitening.
